Launch Whatsapp on iOS or Android devices.
Go to Settings and click on Chats.
In the chat menu, go to Chat Backup.
On the Chat Backup page, you can select automatic backup. You can perform an automatic backup daily, weekly or monthly.
On Android, you must select a Google account before you can set up automatic backups.
You can also include videos if you want to save your videos. This will increase the size of the backup.
Once you're ready, you can tap Back Up Now to start your first backup. The rest of the backups will take place automatically, based on your automatic backup schedule.
You can also use this method to transfer Whatsapp data between Android and iPhone.
