How to Change Phone Camera Settings for External Microphone (Works for ALL Phones)

EDIT: It stopped working, so I had to upgrade to the LG V40 ThinQ (it's spectacular), which I now use for all my video recording and editing. The best part is the amount of data it can hold (up to a 2TB micro SD card) and the resolution/speed of the device.

Everything basically works the same as the LG G5, but much better and with a built-in telescopic lens. I would highly recommend investing in the V40 if you are having issues (as many of you are now in the comments). Technology changes quickly and applications work best when you upgrade every few years. Comment below so I can get feedback!
