If you don't like the font Windows uses for things like icons and folder names, it's easy to change, and you can use any of the other fonts you have installed on your computer. This will require a registry edit, so be careful when doing this and back up your registry first or create a restore point using System Restore.

Here is the text to make the change. Simply replace NewFont with the name of the font you want to use.

Windows Registry Editor version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE//SOFTWARE//Microsoft//Windows NT//CurrentVersion//Fonts]

/"Segoe user interface (TrueType)/"/"/"

/"Segoe UI Bold (TrueType)/"/"/"

/"Segoe UI Bold Italic (TrueType)/"/"/"

/"Segoe UI Italic (TrueType)/"/"/"

/"Segoe UI Light (TrueType)/"/"/"

/"Segoe UI Semibold (TrueType)/"/"/"

/"Segoe UI symbol (TrueType)/"/"/"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE//SOFTWARE//Microsoft//Windows NT//CurrentVersion//FontSubstitutes]

/"Segoe user interface/"/"NewFont/"
