Or my website where I have lots of other great tutorials (like how to take a screenshot or how to get the Start button back in Windows 8): www.allhow2s.com

This tutorial will guide you in connecting your Android cell phone or tablet so that you can use the internal storage as a USB drive or to delete files from it. Things you can do include adding and removing music, moving photos you've taken, and deleting unused data (only do this if you really know what you're deleting).

It's very simple to do, just plug in the phone and then wait for a message to appear on the phone in the top drop-down bar. The message should say something like /"USB Connected/".

When the message appears, slide the top bar down and click on the USB Connected option (the message may be slightly different). In this, there should be a few options, such as charging only and mounting as storage. You will want to choose the option that mounts the internal storage on the computer. This can read a lot of things, like /"Mount SD card/" or /"Multimedia sync (MTP)/" or /"Connect as removable storage/".

After choosing the mount option, wait a bit and a small box should appear at the bottom right of your computer indicating the driver installation. Just wait for it to end. If you don't see it appear, wait a few minutes just in case.

Then tap Start, then Computer, then look for an option that looks like your phone is under removable media. You should see your C: drive, as well as possibly other drives, and then your phone should appear further down. My phone appears with a picture that looks a bit like an MP3 player and is called something like LG-LS970 (because that's my phone model).

Then you double click on this icon and it will take you to another page where it will show the SD card and how full it is. Double-click on it and it will show you all the files on the SD card or internal phone storage. You shouldn't bother with most of these items, but some are important. For example, the Music folder is where you put music and the DCIM folder contains your pictures.
