how to defrag window 10 for faster computer tutorial, step by step guide:
Windows Disk Defragmenter reorganizes fragmented data so your disks and drives can work more efficiently. Disk Defragmenter runs on a schedule, but you can also scan and defrag your disks and drives manually as follows.
1. Open the Start menu and type /"Defragment and optimize drives/" in the search bar. Click on the search result that appears.
2. In the "Optimize Drives" window, you will see a list of drives on your computer. Select the drive you want to defragment.
3. Click the /"Optimize/" button next to the selected drive. Windows will analyze the drive and determine if it needs to be defragmented.
4. If the drive needs to be defragmented, click the /"Optimize/" button again to start the defragmentation process. This may take some time depending on the size and fragmentation level of the disk.
5. Once the defragmentation process is completed, you can close the /"Optimize Drives/" window.
It's worth noting that Windows 10 automatically schedules regular defragmentation of your drives, so manual defragmentation isn't always necessary. However, you can still follow the steps above to manually defrag a specific drive if necessary.
