Samsung's Bixby personal assistant certainly has its fans, but I'm just not one of them. I consider it bloatware and prefer not to have any apps or services running on my phones. And the worst thing is that they multiply from year to year.

I wouldn't mind if Samsung would be kind enough to provide a way for the user to disable these Bixby services. The company went out of its way to make it easy for us to do this.

Fortunately, we can use an ADB Shell command to disable the following. . .

Bixby Routines
Bixby dictation
Bixby Voice
BixbyVision
Bixby Vision Frame
Bixby Voice Heel

If you're not familiar with ADB and Fastboot tools, that's no problem since I walk you through the process from start to finish. And the best part is that we don't even need root access.

Once installed, enable USB debugging mode on your Samsung Galaxy S21 and start the ADB service (I like to use the /"adb devices/" command). This should give you a request to access the phone (if you connected the phone to the PC with a USB cable).

We can now run the command /"adb shell/" (without the quotes) from the computer before we start disabling these applications and services one by one. I've included a list of apps and package names for these Bixby services that I disabled on my Galaxy S21 Ultra.

You should feel free to disable as many (or as few) as you want (maybe you like Bixby Vision's features but don't care for Bixby dictation or something).

When you're done, simply unplug the USB cable and restart the phone.
