To disable/enable automatic updating in Windows 10, follow these steps:
To deactivate :
Open the “Windows Update” service – “Stop” – change the startup type from “Automatic” to “Disabled” – Click “Apply” and “OK”.
To allow:
Open the “Windows Update” service – Set the startup type to “Automatic” – click “Apply” – click “Start” – Click “OK”.
