Disabling Google Assistant is simple and can be done in minutes in your phone's settings. This tutorial can disable Google Assistant for any Android phone including Samsung, Pixel, Moto, HTC, OnePlus, Huawei, Alcatel, Asus, Nubia, Blu, Acer, Cubot, LG, Lenovo, Nokia and ZTE.
Google recently changed the settings menu to disable Google Assistant on Android phones. This tutorial contains the latest instructions to disable Google Assistant on Android 11 and Android 10. Follow the steps below to disable Google Assistant on your Android device:
1. Open Settings on your Android device.
2. In Android settings, find and select Apps & notifications.
3. Then select Assistant.
4. In Assistant, select Say /"Hey Google/".
5. Then deactivate the first option titled Google Assistant.
6. You have now disabled Google Assistant on your Android phone or tablet.
Follow the steps below to prevent Google Assistant from showing up:
1. Open Settings on your Android device.
2. In Android settings, find and select Apps & notifications.
3. In App & notifications, select advanced.
4. In advanced mode, select Default apps.
5. From the default apps, select the Digital Assistant app.
6. Select the default digital assistant app. Most likely it will be Google Assistant.
7. Select None. You can now close the settings.
8. You have now disabled Google Assistant and prevented it from appearing in the future.
