It's not uncommon when you're typing on your laptop to accidentally slip on your touchpad, which can cause a lot of problems with other elements on your screen. If you have an external mouse and the touchpad on your Windows 11 laptop is bothering you, you can easily disable it.

Now let's move on to the steps to disable the touchpad on your Windows 11 laptop.

Step 1. Go to your Windows 11 Home screen, then press /"Windows/" and /"I/" keys at the same time. The Windows Settings screen will display.

Step 2. Choose /"Bluetooth & Devices/" from the menu on the left side of the screen. Options related to Bluetooth and devices will be displayed on the right side of the screen.

Step 3. Click "Touchpad/" from the list of options. The touchpad options appear.

Step 4. Find the touchpad toggle at the top of the screen, then click to turn off this toggle. Your Windows 11 touchpad will be automatically disabled and will no longer work unless you re-enable it.
