The Balance Transfer Process with Wells Fargo
Before we continue, note that Wells Fargo charges a balance transfer fee of 5 (maximum). New cardholders must pay 3% of the balance. If your card is more than 120 days old, you must pay 5% of the eligible balance upon transfer. Please keep in mind that Wells Fargo may take approximately 14 days to complete processing your transfer. That said, you can do a balance transfer online with Wells Fargo. Here's how to do it:
1. Visit www.wellsfargo.com (link is in description.)
2. Enter your login credentials.
3. Once you have access to your account, head to Account Management.
4. Next, tap /"Request a balance transfer."
5. Once done, you will be asked to provide your credit card information. If you are transferring a loan, you must provide all details at this stage.
6. While you wait for Wells Fargo to process your application, make sure your payments are up to date to avoid a bad credit report.
