While I rarely recommend people downgrade to an older version of Android, I understand that sometimes there is no better option.

If you are having a problem with the latest Android 13 update on your Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 or Galaxy S22 Ultra, the first thing I recommend is to try performing a factory data reset in order to to be able to set things right. a clean slate. This is something not everyone wants to do, but it's normally your best solution for fixing bugs introduced by a new Android OTA update.

However, if you really want to downgrade, that's what I'm going to show you how to do in this video.

Downgrading a Samsung smartphone or tablet is only possible if the BIT number matches. I like to use a website called samfw.com to download older versions of Samsung firmware because they include this on their download pages.

So if you want to downgrade the Galaxy S22, search for the smartphone model on this website and make sure you see the same numbers in the BIT column here. Since the first Android 13 OTA update is labeled BIT 2 and the latest Android 12 OTA update has the same BIT number, we can successfully downgrade from Android 13 to Android 12.

This tutorial will also work if you want to downgrade from your current Android 13 firmware to an older version of Android 13. and will also work if you want to downgrade from an older version of Android 12 to an older version of Android 12.

This process only depends on ensuring that the BIT number is the same as the firmware you wish to downgrade to.

To begin we need to download the firmware you want to downgrade to and a copy of Odin with which to flash the firmware.

Once the firmware is downloaded to your PC, extract the contents of the version of Odin you received as well as the firmware you want to downgrade to.

But first we need to boot the Galaxy S22 into download mode. I have already made a tutorial detailing how this is done, so if you are unfamiliar with this process, be sure to check out the video description below for a link to this tutorial which will detail all the steps involved.

Once the phone is in download mode, keep it connected to the PC with a USB cable so that Odin can transfer the firmware files to the smartphone.

Now we need to start loading these firmware files into Odin. Once these four files are loaded into Odin, make sure your Galaxy S22 has a secure connection to the PC via the USB cable, then click the Start button to begin the downgrade process.

It will take a little time because the program needs to extract all the smaller files compressed into these firmware files and then install them on the Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphone.

Once you see the green /"PASS/" message appear here in Odin, then you can safely unplug the smartphone from the PC, as your phone should have restarted on its own.
