On your computer
Before you get started, download Google Authenticator or Authy on your smartphone.
1. Launch Discord on your computer.
2. Go to your settings page by clicking the gear icon at the bottom left.
3. Under “My Account,” click the button labeled “Enable Two-Factor Authentication.”
4. Confirm your Discord account password in the dialog box to continue.
5. A pop-up will appear with a QR code and 2FA key. Use the authenticator app to scan the QR code.
6. Your authenticator app will generate a verification code that you enter into Discord.
7. Once you are done, click “Activate”.
On your smartphone
1. Launch the Discord app on your smartphone.
2. Click on your profile picture at the bottom and select “My Account”.
3. Tap the button labeled “Enable two-factor authentication”.
4. Confirm your password to continue.
5. Download one of the supported authenticator apps.
6. Copy the generated 2FA code to your Discord and paste it into the authenticator app.
7. Copy the verification code generated in your authenticator and paste it into your Discord app.
