Message bubbles are usually floating icons that appear when someone texts you on your phone. Instead of going to the messaging app, you can tap the bubble to see the received message.
It's an easier way to chat with your friends and family as you can easily access chat on the home screen.
To do this:
Launch messages
Tap your profile icon in the upper right corner
Tap Message settings
Tap General
Select bubbles
Choose All or Selected Only to enable message bubbles
