In this quick tech video, I'll show you how to enable weather notifications on your iPhone with iOS 15.
With Weather Notifications, we can allow our iPhone to use our location to notify us if something like rain or snow is coming.
To do this, we first need to configure the weather app so that it always uses our location. To do this, open Settings.
Next, scroll down and tap Privacy. At the top, select Location Services, then find and choose Weather.
Make sure this option is set to Always and that Precise Location is also enabled. This way we know that the weather app will always have an idea of where we are, so our notifications will be correct.
Once done, close the settings, then open the Weather app.
If you default to the current or saved location page like this, tap the three lines at the bottom right.
Now, from the weather page, tap the three dots at the top right of the page and choose notifications. If this is your first time, tap Continue and allow notifications from the weather app.
Now, in the notifications screen, tap the slider to the right of your current location and any other locations below for which you want to receive weather notifications. Once you've done that, you're good to go and you can close the Weather app.
