How to Fill a Piping Bag – Martha Stewart
If you don’t use piping bags regularly using them isn’t always the most intuitive process. Ultimately you’re just stuffing stuff in there but doing that without making a huge mess can take some practice or at least a little instruction.

For this tutorial I’m using a disposable piping bag (Kee-Seal is my favorite brand) but the same rules apply to canvas and durable plastic. Part of my preference has to do with the fact that my local health department banned canvas bags when I was still working in a restaurant. But the truth is they’re also just so damn easy to use: no messy cleanup no lingering odors no mysterious stains.
