To filter your messages on iPhone, open your Settings app. Scroll down and select Messages. Now, scroll down and tap the switch labeled Filter Unknown Senders. Now when you open your Messages app, you'll have the option to view your messages in filtered inboxes. Tap Filters in the upper left corner. Now you can choose to view all your messages, messages from known senders that are in your contact list, messages from unknown senders that are numbers not in your contact list, or unread messages. You can also find recently deleted messages here. This is a great little hidden feature built into the Unknown Senders Filter option, allowing you to view a filtered or unfiltered list of your messages on iPhone.

That's all you need to filter your messages inbox on iPhone.
