Modern Warfare 3 has perhaps the worst single-player Call of Duty campaign I've played. It's shallow, boring, and less like the greatest hits than like undercooked cover versions of past missions. It's too busy harking back to old glories rather than focusing on creating new moments worth remembering, wrapped up in a borderline incoherent story with nothing to say. The one part we've never seen in a campaign before falls flat, bizarrely consolidating elements of Warzone mode into bad sandbox missions, abandoning everything that made Call of Duty so great in its heyday and instead delivering a series of boring missions. that’s a completely disappointing handful of hours.
