How to Fix Fingerprint Lock Not Working on Windows 10 [3 Fixes]
To fix fingerprint lock not working on Windows 10, here are 3 fixes:
Fix 1:
Open the “run” and type services.msc then click ok… Locate the service named “Credential Manager” – Stop it, then restart it as shown in this video – click “Apply” and “OK”. Then restart your computer.
Fix 2:
Open Device Manager – Locate the driver software for fingerprint under “Biometric Devices” – right-click it – click “Update Driver Software” – click “Search automatically for updated driver software” – Let Windows find and install an updated driver for your system – If there is already an updated system, close it and return to the previous page.
Now, once again, right-click on the driver software for fingerprint – this time click on “Uninstall device” – in the next pop-up window, uncheck “Remove the driver software for this device” and click on “Uninstall » – then click on the second “Action” tab in the Device Manager window – click on “Scan for hardware changes” – Close the windows and restart your system…
Fix 3:
Open device manager and right click on the fingerprint driver software – then click on “Properties” – in the next window click on the last tab “Power management” – uncheck “Allow computer to turn off this device to save power” – Click OK. You did it..!
