How to Fix Internet Connection (Part 2 – IP Address Problems)
This video will guide you in finding your IP address on a Windows machine. The location of the Command Prompt is similar on most editions of Windows. If you are unable to locate it in Windows 8, you can use Metro's search feature to locate it. Just type search /"cmd/". This will help you find your IP address (if you have one) and will also show you how to try to get a new IP address if it doesn't appear. Please note that this IP address you will see is usually your private IP address (the number given to you by your router. And is different from the IP address your Internet Service Provider will give you. We will look into further troubleshooting Internet in the next videos.
