How to Fix Spotlight Not Working on Windows 11

Solution 1. Make sure you have an active Internet connection

Fix 2. Disable Metered Connection

Fix 3. Uninstall Bitdefender if applicable

Fix 4. Re-register Spotlight using PowerShell

Get-AppxPackage -Name Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register /"(_.InstallLocation)//AppXManifest.xml/" -Verbose}

Fix 5. Adjust your time and date

Fix 6. Re-enable Spotlight in Windows 11

Fix 7. Delete Spotlight Cache

Fix 8. Run System Maintenance Troubleshooter

Fix 9. Clear Spotlight Assets

You need to replace the Username section with the actual name of your active account. You can also try running the command below in the Run dialog box to open the Assets directory. %USERPROFILE%/AppData//Local//Packages//Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy//LocalState//Assets

Step 3. Click Show —- Hidden Items on the top menu to make sure all hidden files are visible. Then press Ctrl A to select everything in the Assets folder and delete them.

Fix 10. Run an SFC scan
