When you open Task Manager, an error message appears stating that "The Task Scheduler service is not available." Task Scheduler will attempt to reconnect to it. ", you can try the fixes mentioned below:
1. Open Registry Editor
– go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SYSTEM-CurrentControlSet-Services-Schedule
– Find the DWORD startup name register (REG_DWORD) and set the value to 4.
If you are unable to find the corresponding key, right-click in an empty area in the right window and select New – DWORD (32-bit) Value.
2. Open the Services snap-in
– Find the Task Scheduler service
– Set the startup type to Automatic, then click Start to launch the service
To change the startup type to Automatic, open an elevated command prompt and run the commands below:
REG EXPORT HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE//SYSTEM//CurrentControlSet//Services//Schedule %TEMP%//Schedule.reg
REG ADD HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE//SYSTEM//CurrentControlSet//Services//Schedule /F /V Start /T REG_DWORD /D 2
