Although Mac applications are generally incredibly stable, we may encounter a malicious application that decides to become unresponsive. All that remains is to force close, which fortunately is very simple on Mac.
Press CMDOPTIONESC. When the Force Quit window appears, select the application you want to quit and click Force Quit. Confirm Force Quit.
As a bonus, you can see "Not Responding" next to the offender's app name, which will also be in red.
It's a simple tip to help you combat apps that might not work as expected, whether it's a beta app, a simple faulty update release, or just something unstable coding.
Have you ever had an app crash on Mac? What application was it? Please let us know in the comments.
