Quick Tips: Freezing and Reheating Cooked Rice | One Pot Chef
Over the last few years I’ve noticed more and more boxes of pre-cooked rice in the freezer section of my local supermarket. They’re super convenient but much more expensive than just cooking some rice at home. I wondered if it would be possible to make my own version at home.
After some trial and error I found that it works great! And it is also much more economical as you would expect.
It’s also easy to incorporate this prep step into your routine: If you find yourself making rice for a meal simply make double the amount so you have some to freeze for next time. Or of course have a special prep day where you freeze some rice for future meals.
