Here are the 3 most common places you can find information about your specific iPhone that can be used to identify it:

1. General Settings About (once connected to iPhone)
2. Original iPhone box (back of box)
3. Physically labeled on the back of the iPhone (select models)

Information that identifies iPhones falls into the following 5 categories:

*Apple model number (i.e. A****):
This is the official Apple number assigned to the device when it was created and encompasses certain variants of this device. This is a general number that identifies the type of device.

* Apple manufacturing part number (i.e. M*****/A):
Since Apple uses different manufacturers and/or manufacturers that design the same model for different countries, manufacturers design some components slightly differently and so, for example, the A1532 (iPhone 5c) was manufactured for three different countries and carries part numbers ME553LL/A (CDMA for Verizon), MF364CH/A* (CDMA for China), ME505LL/A* (GSM for North America).

* Apple serial number:
The serial number is unique to your device and is the number assigned to each device produced. No two serial numbers are the same. Having this number will give you three pieces of information, model number, date of purchase, warranty coverage information at Apple's official link here: https://checkcoverage.apple.com/

* International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI):
This is the unique official address for your phone. It is used by GSM operators, but each iPhone has an IMEI. It normally has 15 digits. You can also view the IMEI number on your iPhone screen by typing *#06# on the keyboard. It's labeled on all original iPhone boxes. It can be found under SettingsGeneralAbout. It is located at the bottom right of the home screen after resetting the iPhone under the icon (i). It is found on the back of the following iPhones: Original, 3G, 3GS, 4, 4s, 5, 5S, 6, 6 Plus, SE.

* Mobile Equipment Identifier (MEID):
A Mobile Equipment Identifier (MEID) is a globally unique number identifying a physical element of CDMA2000 mobile station equipment. Concretely, it can be considered as an IMEI but with hexadecimal numbers. It is used by CDMA operators, in the United States the most popular are Sprint and Verizon. Many iPhone models do not have a MEID.
