Summary

NVIDIA has just released an installer script to help automate the process of getting GeForce Now up and running on the Steam Deck.

This script essentially automates a new process for us, and it works by first restarting the Steam Deck in desktop mode.
So let's press the Steam button on the left here.
Select the Power option to display the Power menu.
And then choose Switch to Desktop from here.

Next, we need to visit a specific website on the NVIDIA website.
So I'm going to launch Firefox since I previously installed it on my Steam Deck

But you may not have a browser installed yet.
If so, launch the Discover app and then download your web browser of choice.

Now load this page on the NVIDIA website.
I'll be sure to include the link to this page in the video description below.

Download the installation script for GeForce Now.
Extract its contents.
Then launch the file to begin the installation process.

We will see a prompt appear like this.
And just click on the Yes button to confirm the installation.

When this is all over.
Let's exit desktop mode and return to gaming mode on our Steam Deck.

Check the Non-Steam Library tab and you should now see a new entry for GeForce Now.

Almost everything has been configured for you.
We will simply need to log in and then we will be able to stream games with GeForce Now to the Steam Deck.

However, as it stands, we can't use the trackpad to control the mouse, here.
So while GeForce Now is open, press the Steam button on the left here.
Select Controller Settings from this menu.
From here we need to change the current button layout to gamepad with mouse trackpad.

And then we'll want to click the Edit Layout button.
Next, choose Trackpads.
So we can change the Click input for Right Trackpad behavior to the Mouse – Left Mouse Click option.

And there we have it.
GeForce Now is fully installed and configured to work properly with the trackpad.

Please take the opportunity to connect and share this video with your friends and family if you find it useful.
