How to install Java JDK 20.0.1 on Windows 11 [2023] Install and run the first Java 20 program

Learn how to install Java JDK 20.0.1 on Windows 10. We will also see how to verify the installation and how to run the first Java program using JDK 20.0.1. Java installer file comes with JRE and JDK.

01:04 – Install it on Windows 10/11
01:55 – Set the JDK path in the Environment Variables section in Windows 10.
02:46 – Verify installation
03:12 – Create a HelloWorld program in Java
04:09 – Save the Java program
04:30 – Run Java program on command prompt

Step 1: How to Download Java
Open your web browser
Click on the URL: https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/
Select your operating system tab.
Find and click the JDK download link for your operating system.
It will download and save the files to your disk.

Step 2: Install Java
Click to run the downloaded installer file
Simply follow the prompt in the installer window

Step 3: Test if Java is working or not
Open cmd, type javac or javac –version
