How to install Opera browser on Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon?

Step 1: Open Firefox browser, then navigate to https://google.com

Step 2: Search for “download opera”. After that, click on the first link to open it.

Or

Go directly to this link https://opera.com/download

Step 3: Now, click on the “Download” link in Linux.

Step 4: In the pop-up window, click “save file” and then click “ok” button.

Step 5: Navigate to the folder where you downloaded the file, right-click in that folder, and then click “open in terminal”.

Step 6: Type the command below and then press Enter.

sudo dpkg -i full_filename_of_deb_package_of_opera

provide the password, then press Enter again.

Step 7: In the Pop-up Messages box, select “yes” and then press Enter.

Step 8: To open Opera, click on the menu icon at the bottom left. Hover your mouse over “Internet,” then click “opera” to open it.
