First of all, you need to configure Voice Match on your device if it is not already activated.
To do this. Go to your device's Settings app. Scroll down until you find Google and tap on it. Select “Account Services then Search, Assistant and Voice and finally select Voice. Now, find and tap on the “Voice Match” feature under the Hey Google category. Make sure the Google Assistant button is enabled. Also enable “Hey Google” under Voice Match. Once Hey Google is activated, Google will ask you to say a few sentences so that it can learn your voice.

Now open any article you want to read aloud. Once open, say ok google, read it or hey google, read it, into your microphone.

The first time you try this command, Google Assistant will probably say it can't do this because "Screen Context" needs to be enabled first, just enable it. A pop-up will quickly appear on the screen asking you to allow the Google app to use your screen context. Press OK. You don't have to go through the settings yourself.

Now go back to the article and ask the Assistant to “Read it” again. This time he will probably oblige and say “Understood” or “OK”. It takes a few seconds for the virtual assistant to scan the song before starting to read it aloud.
Once the Assistant starts reading to you, it will open the web page in a dedicated 'Play' browser which has a reading control bar at the bottom of the screen where you can pause/play, rewind or move forward. Additionally, there is an option to increase the speed at which Assistant reads to you from 0.5x to 3x.

The best part is that if you don't understand the language of the article, you can also change its language. Just tap on the three-dot menu, select translation, now choose your language and you're done. The article will be translated into live audio in the language of your choice. You can also change the voice read aloud from the options provided.

There you have it guys, here's how to get Google Assistant to read your articles out loud.
