How to remove “Program” in Task Manager start tab in broken file or Windows virus?

Applications configured to launch automatically when you log in are listed in the Startup tab of Task Manager. However, you can also find a listing for /"Program/" without an editor and with an empty icon. In this video we explain what this program item is in the Startup tab of Windows 10 Task Manager, whether it is safe and how to remove it.

Shortcut to Task Manager: CTRLSHIFTESC

Press the WINDOWS R key to call up the Run dialog box.

To identify program entries on the Startup tab and remove the entries, follow these steps:
– Open Task Manager.
– Select the Startup tab.
– Right-click on the column header.
– From the context menu, activate these two options: Startup type and Command line.

The startup entry can be found in one of the following registry locations:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER//SOFTWARE//Microsoft//Windows//CurrentVersion//Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE//SOFTWARE//Microsoft//Windows//CurrentVersion//Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER//SOFTWARE//WOW6432Node//Microsoft//Windows//CurrentVersion//Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE//SOFTWARE//WOW6432Node//Microsoft//Windows//CurrentVersion//Run
