In this video we teach you how to reset the Nest thermostat. You may need to reset your Nest thermostat if it doesn't connect to Wi-Fi, if the Nest thermostat has been updated, or if you move and need to clear your Nest thermostat information.
You can restart the Nest thermostat through the Nest settings options, by confirming and then rotating the Nest dial for final confirmation. It's important to note that there are different options for resetting the Nest thermostat, and while the basic reset option will turn your Nest on and off and will not erase your settings, if you choose a hard reset factory, it will erase all settings.
