How to Restore Windows 10 Laptop or Computer to an Earlier Date and Adjust System Restore Points
The first step is to make sure you create more system restore points.
so right click on /"start/" and select /"search/"
Type /"restore/" in the search box and select /"create restore point/".
Highlight 'Windows System (C)' then click /"Configure/". make sure “system protection” is enabled.
Under Disk Space Usage, adjust the slider by moving it to the right or left depending on the amount of disk space you want to allocate to your system's restore points.
the higher the percentage, the more restore points you get, but a higher number of system restore points will consume more of your disk space.
It is therefore recommended not to use more than 10%. Now click Apply and then click ok.
Now let's say in a month you are having problems with your computer and you want to return your computer to an earlier date when everything was working fine,
Click on /"System Restore/" then click on Next, select the system restore point you want to return to, in my case I will choose the one from 7/29/2016.
Now click Next and then click Finish.
A window will appear to confirm if you want to continue. Once you click yes, your computer will be restored and restarted.
