How to run a diagnostic scan on an HP computer – HP Self Test

I'll show you how to run this scan to see if any of your hardware is faulty and may be causing your problem. Q: What key did you press at the start of the video?
A: The key pressed at 1:05 is F2.

Q: The diagnostic scan indicates that my hard drive is not installed.
A: It means the hard drive is faulty or loose. I would first try "reinstalling" the hard drive as shown here: https://youtu.be/lKb2pPQrkRk. Retry the scan. If it still says not installed, it is probably defective and needs to be replaced. You will also then need to install an operating system on the new one, as shown here;

Q: My hard drive or storage test failed or I received a warning. What should I do?
A: This means your hard drive is defective and needs to be replaced. Replace it as seen here; https://youtu.be/tNp5Kbo9uHg. Q: Changing settings in BIOS didn't help and my hard drive passed the scan…
A: If changing the settings in the BIOS did not help and everything passes the scan, try reinstalling Windows as shown here;
