This is just a quick technical guide to show you how to set up your Apple AirPods on a Windows 10 computer. It's relatively simple, but not as quick as via your iPhone. Essentially, you just pair them like regular Bluetooth headphones!
A few things to keep in mind when using your AirPods with Windows 10. First of all, Siri won't work on double-click, nor will it pause playback. So whatever you were listening to won't stop when you remove an AirPod like it does when you use them with your Mac, iPad, or iPhone. But they will still work as descent sound wireless headphones!
So let’s get to pairing!
We can access the Bluetooth settings from the system tray, you will probably need to expand the system tray by pressing the up arrow on the left side of the system tray with the pop-up saying “Show hidden icons”. Once the system tray is expanded, you can click on the Bluetooth icon and choose the “Add Bluetooth device” option. This will open the Bluetooth and other devices menu.
Then click on “Add a Bluetooth or other device”.
Now on the AirPods case, open the cover and then press and hold the pairing button.
Back in Windows, choose Bluetooth and now wait for AirPods to appear in the list of detected devices. Once they appear in the list, choose them and complete the pairing.
Now when you want to use AirPods in Windows 10, simply choose them from the Bluetooth menu and vola, your AirPods now work with Windows 10!
