Google Assistant on Android TVs: Quickly find and listen to your favorite shows, get answers, and control your home. Your Google Assistant is now ready to help you on supported TV devices. Press the mic button on your TV remote to get started.

With Google Assistant, you can ask questions and complete tasks on your Android TV device. For example, open Netflix, listen to songs on YouTube music, what is the current weather, calendar times, turn off or turn on the TV, etc. To get started, click the Google Assistant button on the remote or just say /"Hey Google/" to launch Google Assistant if your Android TV model supports far-field voice control. Android TV will recognize the voice “Hey Google/” and start listening for your commands to process. If you are worried about your privacy when the far-field mic is always on, no problem, there will be a physical button to turn it off and on as needed. You can find it on the back of the TV or under the TV logo.
