![How to simulate a long exposure without a tripod - PLP #156](https://ytimg.googleusercontent.com/vi/GeFvtjmLid0/hqdefault.jpg)
It often happens that you don't have a tripod or ND filter and it is not possible to put one on the ground where you are. If you have encountered these issues and want to capture long exposure photos, here is what you need to do:
1. Put your camera in manual mode and take many photos per second of water or other moving objects.
2. In Lightroom, edit one of the photos and sync the rest with this edit.
3. Select all files, right-click and open them as layers in Photoshop.
4. Duplicate the top photo and merge the rest into a smart object.
5. Go to layer/smart object/stack mode/average or median and see what works best for you.
6. Using layers, merge the long exposure data with the top photo.
7. Watch the video for more drama tips!
