Automatic updates may be unwanted in cases where you are using an expensive data plan or want to save your device's battery.

The Android operating system allows users to prevent apps from automatically updating.

How to stop automatic updates on Android:

Go to the Play Store
Go to the Play Store menu and select “Settings”
Tap Automatically update apps.
To turn off automatic app updates, select Don't automatically update apps.

NB: You can also choose to disable automatic updates for specific applications.
