In this video today we will see how to stop sharing contacts between iPhones. If you suddenly start seeing contacts appear on your iPhone that you haven't saved, let's figure out what to do. Now this happens when you use the same Apple ID on different devices. So what happens is that the contacts will be synced and will appear on your device as well as the other device. So there are two options to make. Either you will remove the Apple ID from one of the devices or if you want to use the same Apple ID then you need to go to /"settings/". Tap the name at the top here.
Go to iCloud and you have this option /"contacts/". Turn this off and you will be asked what you want to do with the contact previously synced to your iPhone, that is, contacts that were previously synced from iCloud and will save to your iPhone what you want to do with it this one. So you need to select this option /"keep on my iPhone/". So after doing that you can open the contacts app and delete the contacts you don't want. After that your contact will not appear on another iPhone and the contacts saved in the other iPhone will also not appear on your iPhone and the other thing is that if you have also used the same Gmail account on both devices, you will do the same thing either you will delete the Gmail account from one of the devices or if you are going to use the same Gmail account then you will go to /"settings/".
Go to /"Mail/". Go to /"Accounts/" and here you will see all the Gmail accounts you have used. Let's say this is the Gmail account that I used on both iPhones, then what you will do, you will open this Gmail account and there is an option here /"contacts/", you will disable this option and if you want to delete all contacts that were synced from Gmail account and saved on your iPhone. You need to select this option /"Delete from my iPhone/". You have no other options. You need to select this option /"Delete from my iPhone/" and once you select this option, the contacts synced from Gmail account and saved on the iPhone will be deleted. So it's up to you to decide what you want to do. So I'm going to select /"Delete from my iPhone/". So, once you do these two things, the contact from the other iPhone will not appear on your iPhone and the contacts from your iPhone will not appear on the other iPhone either.
