Microsoft has now made Windows Updates mandatory in Windows 10. This will keep your computer secure and up to date with all the latest software fixes and service packs. Running a computer unpatched exposes your computer to serious vulnerabilities and security vulnerabilities. Now the only way to fix your problem is to uninstall this update, but the problem is that Windows Update will simply download and reinstall this update. So we need to find a way to temporarily disable or prevent Windows Update from automatically installing Windows updates. well you're in luck, I'll show you how to fix this problem with this simple workaround.

If you are a Windows 10 Professional user, you have the option to use the Group Policy Editor, this will not be available in Windows 10 Home. Press Windows R and type “gpedit.msc” in the Run box. press Enter. Go to Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Windows Update.

Double-click “Configure automatic updates”. Now select “Enabled” on the radio button. Use the drop-down box below to change the setting from "Automatic download and notify for installation" to "Notify for download and notify for installation". Apply and commit the change.

Another option for Windows 10 Pro users is to defer updates. Click Start / Settings / Update & Security. Click “Advanced Options” and check “Defer Upgrades”. You can also select “Notify to schedule restart” instead of “Automatic (recommended)”.

Microsoft has a tool that will help you temporarily prevent the automatic download and installation of Windows Update or Driver Update from reinstalling in Windows 10.
