Oculus VR casting is a fairly simple task, but to do it without Chromecast you need to have a Smart TV that uses Android.
Unfortunately, Chrome is the only software that supports Ouclus Casting, so you either need to have a TV that uses Android itself or purchase a Chromecast device to override your smart TV's native capabilities to get the job done .
Boring, yes, but until virtual reality and augmented reality are truly adopted by the mainstream, we're not going to see Oculus casting as a general feature on smart TVs anytime soon.
The reason my TV in this tutorial appears in my headset's streaming menu is because it uses Android natively.

Honestly, I love what Facebook (or Meta) has done so far with the Oculus Quest 2. by changing their name to Meta, it's clear that I have big plans for the virtual world and I'm definitely excited to see how it all turns out.
I slowly added more and more games to my headset as I went along. I try not to obsess too much about the damn thing and stick to apps that help me take a break from my regular work day. I have to say, some of the Quest App Store game guides look pretty cool, so it's tempting!
