One of the challenges was making this work with Fire TV devices, and it raised the question of how this could be achieved. In this video, I wanted to do an unofficial follow-up showing how, if you have a Fire TV device and a compatible camera, you can use an Alexa routine to trick your Fire TV device into thinking you've given it a command to display the doorbell. camera when someone presses the button.
While it won't work with absolutely every camera, it's a quick and easy way to display your doorbell on your TV if it already works well with the Alexa ecosystem. You can also add an extra layer using @IFTTT if you want to add additional steps to the routine, such as flashing lights or controlling other devices that don't work with Alexa routines.
