How to Switch Outlook to Classic View – Revert or Change Outlook to Old Version [Windows/Mac]
In this video we will see how to switch Outlook to classic view on MAC and Windows or revert or change Outlook to the old version.

Here are the steps to switch Outlook to classic view on MAC and Windows or revert or change Outlook to the old version

Windows operating system

Method 1

1. Turn off New Outlook by clicking the toggle button
2. Click the “Ignore comments/” button
3. Wait for Outlook to open automatically
4. Done!

Method 2

1. Close Outlook
2. Search in Outlook
3. You will see two options: one is Outlook and the other is Outlook (new). Click Outlook without (new)
4. Done!

Method 3

1. Close Outlook
2. Search for "Registry Editor" or Regedit
3. Click /"Registry Editor/"
4. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER by clicking the arrow
5. Expand the software by clicking on the arrow
6. Expand /"Microsoft/" by clicking on the arrow
7. Scroll down until you find Office
8. Expand /"Desktop/" by clicking on the arrow
9. Expand /"16.0/" by clicking on the arrow
10. Expand /"Outlook/" by clicking on the arrow
11. Click Preferences
12. Now double click on /"UseNewOutlook/"
13. Set value data to 0
14. Click the OK button
15. Close the Registry Editor
16. Restart your computer
17. Search in Outlook
18. You will see two options: one is Outlook and the other is Outlook (new). Click Outlook without (new)
19. Done!

Method 4

1. Close Outlook
2. Click File Explorer
3. Click This PC or Computer
4. Open C drive
5. Open the “Program Files” folder. If Outlook isn't there, it may be in the "Program Files (X86)" folder. (Mine is in the “Program Files” folder)
6. Scroll down until you find the “Microsoft Office/” folder.
7. Open the /"Microsoft Office/" folder
8. Open the root folder
9. Open the Office16 folder
10. Scroll down until you find OUTLOOK AS shown in the video
11. Double-click OUTLOOK to open Outlook
12. You can open an old version of Outlook this way or
13. or right click on OUTLOOK
14. If you are using Windows 11, click /"Show more options/". Otherwise, if you are using Windows 10 or earlier, you will see "Create shortcut/" in the list, click on it.
15. Click /"Create shortcut/"
16. Click Yes button (this pop-up says to save the shortcut to desktop)
17. If the shortcut is saved in Outlook location, you can copy the shortcut from here and paste it on desktop.
18. Click Close
19. You can rename the shortcut if you want. Usually, shortcuts are accompanied by “- Shortcut”. You can delete it if you want.
20. Click anywhere on the empty space on the desktop
21. Now double click on Outlook shortcut to open Outlook
22. Done!

MACOS

Method 1

1. Hover your mouse over the top to display the tabs, as shown in this video
2. Click Help
3. Click /"Revert to the old version of Outlook/"
4. Click the Return button
5. Now wait for Outlook to open automatically
6. Done!

Method 2

1. Hover your mouse over the top to display the tabs, as shown in this video
2. Click Outlook or /"Microsoft Outlook/" whichever is available.
3. Click /"Old Outlook/"
4. Click the Return button
5. Now wait for Outlook to open automatically
6. Done!
