How to Tag Folders in Windows 10
This tutorial shows how to add the /"Tag Folder/" feature to Windows 10.
Step 1: Download Tag_Folder.bat from the link below.

– Do your own due diligence by inspecting the batch file.
*Note: If your antivirus detects a threat, see Jeffrey Wyman's comment below.
Step 2: Add /"Tag Folder/" to the context menu
– Open the registry editor
– Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT//Directory//Background//shell
– Create a new “Tag Folder” key and a “command” subkey
– Enter cmd /c ”start /min yourpath//Tag_Folder.bat”
*Note: If your path contains blank spaces, see HL Mencken's comment below.
Step 3: Organize your folders with custom tags.
– Navigate to the folder you want to tag.
– Right-click in the empty space and click /"Tag Folder/"
– Enter your tag in the GUI input dialog and click OK.
– You may need to refresh several times to see your new tags.
*Note: If your folder name contains non-ASCII characters, see Miguel de Sousa's comment below.
