The first step to take is to ensure that both laptops are on the same network. This means that both devices must be connected to a single Hotspot. You can use the Hotspot of your Android or iPhone. You need to take extra steps to wirelessly share files between two computers running Windows 11 operating system.
Click the Start button on your PC, select the Settings app. When the app opens, click Network & Internet, Advanced Network Settings, and finally Advanced Sharing Settings.
Click on Private Networks and enable the two buttons below. These are network discovery and file and printer sharing. Scroll down and click on the All Networks box. Enable public folder sharing while you disable password-protected sharing. The rest is covered in the video.
