Unfortunately, most of us receive hundreds, if not thousands, of marketing-related emails every day. They can often come from companies we've previously purchased from or from various apps and tools we currently use. But these emails can easily clutter our inbox and somehow affect our productivity and responding to important emails on time. So if this sounds like you, you'll definitely want to unsubscribe from emails you don't need so you can empty your inbox.

Method #1: Use the footer unsubscribe link
The most common option is to look for an unsubscribe word and a link in the footer of the email you want to unsubscribe from. When you find it, simply tap the link and manually unsubscribe from the mailing list. Once finished, open the next email and start again. While this can work perfectly if you want to get rid of just a few newsletters, it will waste a lot of your valuable time if there are more.

Method #2 Use filters in Gmail
What you need to do is simply open the filter settings and in the Contains words field, type the unsubscribe word. So any email containing this word will either be deleted or archived automatically (whichever you prefer).

This option is quite effective for personal emails, but it can sometimes filter out bad emails. Therefore, going this route for your business email address is at your own risk. Furthermore, the main disadvantage of this particular method is that you are not actually unsubscribed from the mailing list, but simply no longer see these emails in your inbox.

While some Gmail users may try it and see how it works for them, users of other email services may not be lucky enough to get the opportunity.

Way #3 Use third-party websites, apps and platforms
If you want someone to take it for you, take a look at third-party unsubscribe apps and websites that may come in handy.

With Clean Email, for example, you can log in with your email address or multiple addresses, and it will filter things like newsletters and promotions for you. And it will give you an easy option to unsubscribe from any newsletters or even pause if you still want to be on the mailing list but don't want to receive their emails at the moment.

There are also many free services that promise to do this work for you. The main problem with them; However, there is a privacy issue and a monetization issue because they make money by selling your data. I'm not sure I want anyone looking at my personal data and emails, so this isn't a good fit for me. However, if you don't mind this, this could be a very good option for you.

Try all three methods and share your ideas and feedback in the comments section below.
