Maybe yours is a hand-me-down. Either way I’m proud that you decided to use it. I’ve been cooking with Instant Pots and teaching classes on them for over a decade. I use mine at least a few times a week. Life is better with an Instant Pot in your kitchen.
Since we first posted this guide in 2018 there have been so many changes in the Instant Pot world. They’ve released dozens of different models (too many some might say). No matter your model the information below will help you. We’ll take you from a freshly opened box to the basics. It’s not as complicated as it seems.
