To quickly open the camera, press the power button twice. Works from any screen or even when the phone is locked.
To switch the camera to selfie, double-rotate while in the app, the quickest way to turn selfie on and off.
To check notifications, time and other information, you can simply tap or lift your Google phone.
You can swipe the fingerprint sensor to get a notification. This may not be the fastest way, so it is disabled by default.
