Up to date cities included – https://www.apple.com/ios/feature-availability/#maps-look-around

In this video, we'll take a look at the Street View or Look Around feature, which is being added to Apple Maps.

Currently, Apple is rolling it out in select cities around the world, but over time it will be available in more locations. This is a great feature if you want to check out an area you're heading to in advance, or if you just want to take a virtual tour of an area or landmark.

For a complete list of cities that Look Around has been added to, you can search for Apple Maps Look Around on the Apple Support website.

But let's look at how this works in a city like Chicago.

You can start by entering an address or simply tap and hold the map to drop a pin. Once the PIN or address is selected, you will know if looking around is available through the Street View window here. Tap on the observation window, it will then expand to show the view.

You can then move around to see different views, and just like Google Street View if you're familiar with that, you can tap further down the street and the camera and view will move down to give you that view. You can also pinch to open or close to zoom in or out.

As you look around you, you'll see street names you pass that you can tap and turn on, you'll see businesses that are in Apple Maps, and landmarks if there are any.

When you're done, you can tap Done to return to the main maps page.

But we're going to look at another rather cool feature. Instead of tapping Done, tap the minimize icon here at the top left. It will then split your view between panoramic view and map view.

Looking here on the map, you see the look around icon. Tap and hold on the map, and then you can easily walk or move it to another location. The view icon tells you which street you are on and which direction you are looking. Release your finger and it quickly shows you this new view.

Now, when you're done, you can either expand to return to a full view, or be done to access the cards.

And that's how you use the new Look Around feature in Apple Maps.
