Learn how to use bookmarks in Microsoft Word. Bookmarks can be used as standard placeholders. However, they can also be used to create links from one part of the document to another.

First, we will create a bookmark. Next, we will display the bookmark symbol in the text. Next, we will move on (or move on) to the bookmark. We will also create links from other places in the document to the bookmark. Finally, we will remove the bookmark and associated links.

These steps apply to Word for Microsoft 365, Word 2021, Word 2019, Word 2016, and Word 2013.
