You need a data plan or Wi-Fi connection to use Google Duo. It will not use your minutes for calls.
There are 3 main things you can do with Google Duo. You can make individual, voice or video calls and you can also send a message also with voice, video or note. You can also make group calls with up to 12 people
Calls are private and end-to-end encrypted.
To start a video chat, select people to add to the chat. You can now also name the group.
There are also several features in Google Duo.
Knock Knock features. This will give people a preview of your video before they decide to respond.
Data saving mode. This will save data but reduce the quality of your video.
