There are two different ways to use the text-to-speech tool on TikTok. One is in the main editing window and the other is in the more advanced studio editor.
Method 1:
To use the text-to-speech feature on TikTok, start creating a TikTok video as you normally would, either by recording clips in the app or uploading a video from your device.
Now, at the editing stage, press As to the right to add a text box. Type what you want your text to say. If you want, you can also change the text color and font here. Next, tap Text to Speech above your text. There are several different voice options to choose from. Tap a voice name to hear a preview of it. When you find one you like, tap Apple Voice to navigate to All text in this video. Then tap Done. You can pinch and drag to place your text where you want it to be placed on the screen. Next, tap your text box and select Set Duration. Then you can drag the markers to change the duration of your text box depending on which part of the video you want it to appear. The text-to-speech tool will automatically read your text aloud from the first point your text appears. You can also see the duration of the audio clip here, so if you want your text to disappear from the screen once it has finished playing, drag the end of the duration marker to the end of the displayed audio wave. Repeat this process to add any additional text you want to your video.
Method 2:
The other way to use the text-to-speech tool on TikTok is in the studio editor. To do this, tap Edit on the right. Now tap Text at the bottom. Select Add Text. Now type what you want your text to say. If you want, you can also change the text color and font here. Then tap Done. You can pinch and drag to place your text where you want it to be placed on the screen. At the bottom, tap Text to Speech. There are several different voice options to choose from. Tap a voice name to hear a preview of it. When you find one you like, tap Save. Then you can drag the markers to change the duration of your text box depending on which part of the video you want it to appear. The text-to-speech tool will automatically read your text aloud from the first point your text appears. You can also see the duration of the audio clip here, so if you want your text to disappear from the screen once it has finished playing, drag the end of the duration marker to the end of the displayed audio wave. The great thing about using the studio editor is that you can see the entire timeline of your video. Repeat this process to add any additional text you want to your video.
